As a sales focused Managing Director I have specific key account and business growth responsibility. Driving the Quality Standards, Social responsibility, Environmental and safety Ethos to ensure long term security and growth through both organic and acquisitional means.
Director – Business Development Team
Working across a broad range of industries, including oil & gas, automotive, food & beverage and pharmaceutical, John has more than 15 years of reliability and maintenance experience. He started out as a mechanical and product engineer and now leads a team of reliability professionals, which has given him all the first-hand experience of how to deliver cost effective improvements quickly.
UK Technical Manager
Neil has recently joined the AVTPUMP team, working as our UK Technical Manager,
bringing with him 22 years of pump industry experience across many industries
including power generation, chemical, oil refineries, food and beverage, and marine
to name but a few.
Neil’s early career spanned placements as an Apprentice in mechanical engineering
within a pump company, a rotating equipment Reliability Engineer, a Field Engineer
and a Services Manager. The working knowledge and application skills he gained
throughout this time will be a real asset to him and rest of the AVTPUMP team.

UK Key Account Manager
Steve has been with AVT for 12 years and has actually worked in the pump business for 45 years. He also gives
presentations (PP) to customers on Pumping technology and assists in the sales organisation.
UK Workshops Manager
Ron has been with AVT for over 20 years. He spent 10 years at sea in the Merchant Navy before moving to pump repair and maintenance. He has a string of qualifications. Ron is responsible for the operation, manning, training, as well as maintaining Health and Safety and QA at the 3 UK workshops. He frequently visits clients to offer mechanical technical advice onsite offering solutions and/or engages with systems engineers for further support.
Chris has been with AVT for 7 years and is based at the Warrington branch. He is well qualified having had a number of roles, which have enabled him to have a detailed understanding of all aspects of the business. His formal training was as a mechanical fitter and he has experience of a wide range of pumps, as well as mechanical and rotating equipment. He manages a strong team of engineers and an administration team working for the UK workshops manager. He is an ardent sports fan and enjoys films and TV.
Southern Area Sales
Ian brings nearly 30 years pump and liquid handling experience and extensive knowledge of the water waste, chemical, vacuum pump, and automation industries to his role in Southern Area Sales.
Internal Sales / Operational Support
Gareth has been with AVT for 9 years and offers Internal Sales and Operations support. He is responsible for quoting and coordinating pump repairs through the workshop as well as site and service work. He also quotes for repeat pumps and spares and pumps for new applications. Another aspect is stock management for specialist items. He relishes learning new things on a daily basis and tackling new challenges including understanding new technology.
Business Development Manager
With more than eight years’ experience in pump applications and a strong history in the construction industry, in technical and sales positions, Dan brings a host of knowledge and expertise to his role as Business Development Manager for the north of the country.
Colin is an experienced Application Engineer and is skilled in pumps, manufacturing valves, project management and product development. He is a strong engineering professional with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from De Montfort University.
